Attendance Policy

Attendance Policy

Regular and punctual attendance is essential for the academic progress and discipline of every student. The following guidelines must be strictly adhered to by all students and parents:

Leave of Absence

In case of absence due to illness or any other unavoidable reason, a written letter of explanation from the parent or guardian must be submitted to the Principal.

  • This letter should be sent in advance, or at the latest, on the day the student returns to school.
  • Medical certificates may be required for extended periods of illness.

Mandatory Attendance at School Events

Attendance is compulsory on important school occasions such as:

  • Parents’ Day
  • Sports Day
  • Annual Day
  • National Celebrations and Special Assemblies

These events are an integral part of the school’s educational experience, and absence without prior approval will be treated seriously.

Prolonged Absence

If a student is absent continuously for ten working days without prior information or valid reason, their name will be struck off from the school rolls. Re-admission, if granted, will be subject to approval by the Principal and payment of applicable charges.

Minimum Attendance Requirement

A student must have a minimum of 75% attendance in the academic year to be eligible for promotion to the next class. Lack of attendance, regardless of academic performance, may lead to detention.

Parents are advised to avoid planning vacations or personal events during the academic calendar, as every school day contributes significantly to the student’s learning journey. Your cooperation is essential in ensuring academic continuity and discipline.
